Reproductive Medicine-Lupine Publishers-Is Online Transgender Healthcare the Future? An Opinion: (OAJRSD)

Do It-Yourself (DIY) use of hormones in the transgender population is increasing due to waiting lists of 2-3 years to the first appointment in a transgender healthcare center (THC). A “gate keeping” model, psychological assessment procedures and supposed highly specialized endocrinological treatments all contribute to these long waiting lists However, there is no reason why trained competent primary care physicians would not be able to support and accompany transgender people in hormonal replacement therapy. Online treatment by trained primary care physicians offers a solution for the growing waiting lists. In addition THCs should leave their personal kingdoms and go the same way in favor of the safety of transgender people.

Journal of Reproductive Medicine-Lupine Publishers-Sleep and Menopause: Review: (OAJRSD)

Sleep consists of REM and non-REM (rapid eye movement) periods that happen cyclically. Each one lasts between 90 to 120 minutes, and in one night there are approximately 4 to 6 cycles. During the first half of the night, non-REM cycles predominate, which are related to physical and mental restitution. On the contrary, in the second half of the night, REM cycles predominate, which participate in mental and emotional functions, including memory [1]. According to ICSD-3 (International Classification of Sleep Disorders), sleep disturbances are classified as it shows on Figure 1 [2]. Insomnia is, by far, the most frequent condition, and this disorder includes any disorder in the conciliation or maintenance of sleep that produces diurnal disorders.

Recurrent Ovarian Cyst in Pregnancy, The Advantage of Laparoscopic Approach – A Case Report by Wan Ahmad Hazim Wan Ghazali in Open Access Journal of Reproductive System and Sexual Disorders (OAJRSD) in Lupine Publishers

The incidence of recurrent ovarian cyst in pregnancy is rare. However, complications such as torsion, rupture, infection, haemorrhage and obstructed labour may occur. Thus, surgical removal is required to avoid such complications. A 27-year-old parity 1 with history of laparoscopic cystectomy during her first pregnancy presented with recurrent ovarian cyst in her second pregnancy at 13 weeks of gestation. Removal of ovarian cyst was done laparoscopically without significant complications. The remaining of her pregnancy was uncomplicated, and she delivered a healthy infant at term. Laparoscopic cystectomy is safe and should be the gold standard in pregnant women.
